The Great British Entrepreneur Awards were set up to celebrate entrepreneurial ideas and thinking and to tell the story behind the businesses. We’ve watched the awards each year and been so impressed by the great ideas and energetic people behind them. So imagine how absolutely delighted we were to see that we have been selected as finalists in the South West alongside an marvellous group of entrepreneurs (see them here)

Launching a natural perfume in a pandemic

Launching a natural fragrance business in a pandemic has been pretty challenging to say the least, so it means even more to be recognised like this. When we were planning the creation of an exquisite scent, made with expertly blended natural ingredients, little did we know that we would receive the first bottles when shops were closed! And it’s not small challenge to smell an unknown perfume online!

Fortunately, there is an amazing group of superb independent boutiques who supported us then and when they did open, they took on Jones & Modha no 1. They absolutely ‘got’ our ethos and belief in treading lightly on this planet, whilst celebrating the magic of nature through fragrance. We will be forever grateful to them!

The Awards

Getting this far has been just amazing. We’re so delighted that they were impressed with our ethos of wanting something more sustainable in the perfume world, something that showcases nature and its ingredients. A natural fragrance that’s for all genders. And one that reacts with the natural oils in your skin to create something unique.

The results of the finals will be announced in September - we look forward to seeing what happens!
