Some good news in consumer trends
Sustainability is important for shoppers
At Jones & Modha we're all about promoting sustainability and doing all that we can to reduce our impact on the environment. We were so pleased to see statistics from IBM saying that "more than 2 in 3 global respondents say environmental issues are significantly (very or extremely) important to them personally" when it comes to shopping, investment and travel.
With so much choice now for shoppers, and so much greenwashing, it’s not easy to identify brands that are genuinely sustainable and actually deliver in terms of reducing their environmental impact. The beauty industry, in particular seems to lag behind many other industries so we’re hoping 2023 will see consumers demanding more transparency in terms of whether brands are honest about testing on animals, the ingredients they use and the packaging and plastic content.
In comparison to 2019, 22% more consumers say that "environmental responsibility is very or extremely important when choosing a brand" which is so good to hear.
As supporters of our natural perfume, we thought that would bring you a positive focus as we move towards the end of the year.
