Harnessing the power of nature with plants
Jones & Modha is a perfume for people who value beauty and sustainability. We wanted to create a natural perfume that is aligned with nature. That does not exploit our planet, but respects and nurtures. Made with all natural ingredients, nothing derived from petrochemicals of damaging ingredients, we have chosen the more difficult route in business, but believe that there are so many of you that support this way of thinking, it’s worth it.
We love following other businesses with a similar green ethos as we know that if we are to challenge climate change, we all need to start thinking differently about what we consume. We recently came across this brilliant start up doing just that.
Using moss to clad buildings
Dutch start up, Respyre, has found a way of retrofitting buildings with moss cladding. Moss is a non invasive plant and works well as cladding as it has rhizomes and not roots, which means the building materials are not affected. Moss is fast growing and easy to maintain, as well as having a host of environmental benefits such as filtering out pollution, absorbing C02 and supporting wildlife. Moss has such a gorgeous texture and colour, it can make otherwise grey, concrete buildings so much more eye-catching and pleasing to the eye.
